What are the photo, signature and thumb impression sizes for NEET UG?

How to use NEET UG Photo, Signature and Finger Impression Resizer
- Pick the document tab (photo, signature and so on) and click Select to add a photo or scan from your phone or computer.
- Drag the crop box so the face or signature fills the frame. Signatures are cleaned and trimmed automatically.
- Click Resize. The file is made at the exact pixel size and inside the KB range, and downloads straight away.
- Repeat for each tab, then upload the files to the application form.
NEET UG image uploads
The National Testing Agency asks NEET (UG) candidates to upload a photograph, a signature and the impressions of the fingers and thumbs of both hands. As per the NTA information bulletin for NEET (UG) 2026, all three are JPG or JPEG files with the KB ranges below.

Photo rules in the NTA bulletin
NTA asks for a recent photograph in which the face covers about 80% of the image, with both ears clearly visible, against a white background. Masks are not allowed. NTA does not give a pixel size, only the KB range, so this tool uses standard passport proportions (3.5 × 4.5 cm) at 413 × 531 pixels, which looks clear and lands comfortably inside the range. Crop tightly: the dashed oval shows roughly how large the face should be, and you can make the box smaller so the face fills more of the frame.
Live photo
NTA forms also capture a live photograph during the application. Sit in good light in front of a light wall, face the camera and keep your ears visible, just like in the uploaded photo.
NEET allows a colour or black and white photo, and the live photo is matched with your Aadhaar photograph, so the uploaded photo should look like you do now.
Signature
Sign on white paper and photograph it. NTA gives only a KB range (10 to 100 KB) for the signature, not a size, so the tool keeps the shape of your signature, trims the empty space and limits the width to 600 pixels. Tick Make ink black if the scan looks faint.
Finger and thumb impressions
The form asks for the impressions of the left hand fingers and thumb and the right hand fingers and thumb, each between 10 and 200 KB. Press each finger on an ink pad and then on white paper in a row, photograph the page, and resize each image in the Finger & thumb impressions tab. Untick Clean up if the ridges look too faint after processing.
Is a postcard size photo needed for NEET?
Earlier NEET forms asked for a 4 × 6 inch postcard size photo upload. For 2026 the bulletin does not ask for it as an upload; candidates carry printed photos to the exam centre as instructed on the admit card. Use the passport photo maker to print passport size copies with the same photo you uploaded.
