How do I convert a PDF into PowerPoint slides?

How to use PDF to PowerPoint Converter

What this tool does, honestly
This converter places each PDF page on its own PowerPoint slide as a high-resolution image. The slides look exactly like the PDF, with no broken layouts, missing fonts or jumbled text boxes, which is the most common problem with other PDF to PowerPoint tools. The trade-off is that the text on the slides is part of the image, so you cannot edit the words directly.
That makes it ideal when you need to present or annotate a PDF, but not rewrite it:
- Showing a report, research paper or brochure in a meeting or classroom
- Presenting a PDF from a laptop, smart board or projector that only runs PowerPoint
- Adding your own titles, arrows, highlights or speaker notes on top of the pages
- Mixing pages from a PDF into an existing deck (copy and paste the slides)
Need editable text?
If you want to change the words, convert the PDF with PDF to Word instead, which rebuilds real paragraphs and tables. You can then copy text from Word into your slides. You can also add your own text boxes over the page images in PowerPoint to cover and replace a few words.
Choosing the slide size
Same as PDF page
The slide takes the exact shape of the first PDF page. Portrait A4 pages give portrait slides, landscape pages give landscape slides, and the page fills the whole slide with no margins. This gives the largest, clearest view.
Widescreen 16:9
Standard widescreen slides, the default in current PowerPoint and Google Slides. Pages are centred and scaled to fit, with white space at the sides for portrait pages. Choose this if you are adding the slides to an existing widescreen deck.
Quality
Pages are rendered at high resolution (about 2400 pixels on the long side), so small text stays readable on a projector. The PPTX size depends on the number of pages; a 20-page document is usually a few MB.

Presenting tips
Dense A4 pages can be hard to read on a projector. After converting, zoom into a section by duplicating the slide and cropping the picture (Picture Format > Crop) to just the chart or paragraph you want to discuss. Add a title above it and your audience will follow along more easily. You can also hide slides you do not need to show without deleting them.
The PPTX file opens in PowerPoint, Google Slides (upload it to Drive and open with Slides), Keynote and LibreOffice Impress. Your PDF is deleted from our server immediately after the conversion.
