How to use Signature Generator

This tool creates a standalone signature image rather than signing a specific document. Draw or type
Drawing gives you a real pen stroke: use a mouse, a trackpad, or a finger on a touchscreen, and pick black, blue or another ink colour before you start. Typing is faster if you do not want to draw: type your name once and choose from five handwriting styles, Dancing Script, Great Vibes, Caveat, Allura and Sacramento, each with a different weight and slant, until one looks close to how you actually sign.
Trimmed to the ink
Whichever way you create it, the result is automatically trimmed to the signature itself, with no empty canvas around it. That matters when you paste the image somewhere else: a tightly cropped signature sits neatly next to text instead of leaving a large blank box around it.
Choosing a size
Three widths are available: Small at 400 pixels, Medium at 800 pixels, and Large at 1600 pixels. Small is enough for an email signature block or a small form field. Medium suits most documents and slide decks. Large keeps the signature sharp if it will be placed on a big page or printed at a larger size. Wider images also scale down cleanly if you need something smaller later, while a small image stretched up will look blurry, so pick a size at or above what you actually need.
Transparent PNG or plain JPG
Download as a transparent PNG when the signature needs to sit on top of another background, a document page, a certificate, a coloured slide, without a visible box around it. Download as a JPG on white when the destination does not support transparency, such as some older form tools or systems that expect a plain image file.
Where this signature can go
A signature image made here works well for an email footer, a personal document, a form that accepts an uploaded signature image, or as a saved image to keep handy for future paperwork. If you need to sign an actual PDF rather than just generate the image, use sign PDF instead, which places the same kind of signature directly onto a document and lets you save it there and reuse it later.
