How do I convert Excel to PDF?
To convert Excel to PDF, upload your XLS, XLSX, ODS or CSV file to FixDoks's Excel to PDF tool, choose a sheet layout and click Convert to PDF. Every visible sheet is included with formulas shown as calculated values. Your workbook is uploaded over HTTPS and deleted from the server once the PDF is returned.

How to use Excel to PDF Converter
- Click Select Excel files and choose your XLS, XLSX, ODS or CSV files.

Share spreadsheets that nobody can accidentally change
Sending an Excel file means the other person can edit cells, sees your formulas and may open it with the wrong column widths. A PDF shows the numbers exactly as you laid them out and prints properly. It is the usual choice for invoices, salary slips, price lists, mark sheets, attendance registers and monthly reports.
Two ways to lay out the pages
Normal pages
This follows the page setup saved in your workbook: paper size, orientation, margins, print area, repeated header rows and page breaks. If you set these up in Excel, this is the option to use. Sheets without any page setup are split into A4 pages, so a very wide sheet may continue onto extra pages to the right.
Fit each sheet on one page
Every sheet becomes exactly one PDF page, sized to hold all of its used cells. Nothing is cut off and wide tables stay in one piece. This is ideal for reading on screen or sharing on WhatsApp. For printing on A4, very large sheets will print small, so the normal option can be better there.

Tips before converting
- Set a print area in Excel if you only want part of a sheet in the PDF.
- Use Page Layout > Orientation > Landscape for wide tables when you plan to print.
- Turn on Print Titles to repeat the header row on every page of a long list.

CSV files
CSV files have no formatting, so they are turned into a simple table. The delimiter (comma, semicolon or tab) is detected automatically. There is a dedicated CSV to PDF page with more detail.
Invoices, salary slips and reports
Small businesses often keep invoices and salary slips as Excel templates, one sheet per month or per employee. Converting the workbook gives you one PDF with every sheet, which you can split later with Split PDF if each person needs their own file. For a single invoice, keep only that sheet visible before converting. If you send the PDF to a client or employee, you can also add a password with Protect PDF, the same way banks protect statements.
