How do I crop a photo into a circle?
To crop a photo into a circle, open FixDoks's Circle Crop Image tool, add a photo, drag the round frame over the face or logo and resize it with the handles. Choose the output size and what shows outside the circle, then click Create circle photo. The round PNG is created in your browser with transparency.

How to use Circle Crop Image

Round photos without a design app
Many places show pictures in a circle: WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Google, Zoom and most social apps. They crop your square photo to a circle automatically, but sometimes you need the round version as an actual file, for example for a website team page, an email signature, a presentation slide, a YouTube channel icon or a sticker.
This tool cuts a perfect circle from your photo and saves it as a PNG. Everything outside the circle is transparent, so the round picture sits cleanly on any background colour.
Options
- Output size: keep the original crop size or choose a standard size like 512 or 1024 pixels. Larger sizes look better on high resolution screens.
- Outside the circle: transparent is best for websites and slides. Choose white or black if the place you are uploading does not support transparency.
- Border: add a ring around the photo in any colour. A white or brand-coloured ring helps a profile picture stand out.
Why PNG?
JPG cannot store transparency, so the corners would turn white or black. PNG keeps the transparent corners. If you need a smaller file, compress the result with the PNG compressor, which keeps transparency.
Tips for a good round photo
Leave some space above the head: circles cut off the corners, so a face that fills the whole square will lose the top of the hair. Keep the eyes at about 40% from the top of the frame. For logos, leave a small margin so the edges of the logo do not touch the circle.

The result is an ordinary PNG, so you can also resize it later without losing the transparent corners.
Circle crop for logos
Square logos with a coloured background look great as circles. If your logo has a transparent background, choose a solid outside colour or add a border so the circle shape is visible. For team pages, use the same output size and border for every member so the photos line up neatly.
Working from a group photo? Crop around one face with plenty of margin, then make the circle. The tool uses the full resolution of your original, so even a face from a large group shot can give a usable profile picture.
