IBPS RRB 2026 form: uploads, language proof, checklist

The IBPS RRB XV (2026) form for Office Assistant and Officer Scale I, II and III needs the same photo, signature, left thumb and handwritten declaration as IBPS PO and Clerk, plus a 10th certificate as a PDF of up to 500KB. The notification gave 1 September to 21 September 2026 for registration, and an IBPS corrigendum dated 21 September 2026 extended it to 27 September 2026.

The two things that differ from PO and Clerk

First, the 10th certificate. RRB XV asks for it as an A4 PDF of up to 500KB. Most phone scans of a mark sheet come out at 1MB to 4MB, so this is the upload that usually needs compression.

Second, the declaration text. On the RRB form the declaration reads "I will submit", while the PO and Clerk declaration says "present". The RRB text is: "I, (name), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will submit the supporting documents as and when required." If you reuse a declaration image from an earlier IBPS form, write it fresh in your own hand with this wording.

Local language proof

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and Officer Scale I, proficiency in the local language of the state is an essential qualification. The notification treats you as proficient if you studied that language in standard VIII or any higher level at a recognised board or school, or hold a certificate to that effect. If you do not meet this at the time of selection, you get six months from joining to acquire it, which the RRB board may extend within the probation period.

The language proof is not one of the upload boxes on the form. Keep the school certificate or mark sheet that shows the language ready for later stages, as a clear scan and a paper copy.

Step by step: prepare your files

1. Download the CRP RRBs-XV notification from ibps.in and read the upload annexure and the eligibility section for your post.
2. Sign on plain white paper with a black pen, in normal handwriting and not in capitals. Follow our phone signature scanning guide.
3. Write the declaration by hand in English, in black ink, copying the RRB wording exactly.
4. Take a clear plain-background photo and a left thumb impression in black or blue ink on white paper.
5. Run the images through the IBPS resizer and check each size against the table above.
6. Scan your 10th certificate as an A4 page and compress the PDF with Compress PDF to 500KB. Open it afterwards to confirm the text is readable.
7. Save every file with a plain name such as photo, signature, thumb and declaration so you pick the right one at each upload box.

Dates: what to check on ibps.in

The notification gave 1 September to 21 September 2026 for registration and fee payment. A corrigendum dated 21 September 2026 extended both to 27 September 2026, with all other terms unchanged. The corrigenda of 9, 15 and 25 September 2026 only updated the vacancy list.

After registration closes, the notification promises a 2-day "Edit Window" to correct the form, with dates to be notified on ibps.in. Keep these rules in mind:

• Only candidates who submitted a complete form and paid the fee can use it.
• You can correct and re-submit only once.
• Name, email ID, mobile number, the State/UT fields, post and nationality cannot be edited.
• The fee for the edit is Rs 200 (inclusive of GST) for every category, and it is not refunded.

Watch the CRP RRBs-XV page on ibps.in for the edit window dates, not messages forwarded on social media, and keep your resized files saved in case you need them.

Common upload errors and quick fixes

• File too large: a photo saved straight from a phone camera is usually several MB. Resize it before you try the upload box, and do not rename a large file to make it look small.
• Signature rejected: a signature in capital letters, or one written with a thick marker, is the usual reason. Use a black pen and normal handwriting.
• Thumb impression too dark: press lightly on a good ink pad, then crop tight to a square so the print fills the frame.
• Blurry certificate PDF: compress in steps. If the text turns soft, rescan the paper in better light and compress again, rather than compressing a poor scan harder.
• Live photo fails: allow camera access in the browser, sit facing a window and remove any cap or dark glasses.

Keep a folder on your phone with the final files and one screenshot of each upload box. If anything is questioned later, you will know exactly what you submitted.

Checklist before you submit

• Photo, signature, thumb and declaration are within the sizes in the table.
• Signature and declaration are not in capital letters.
• Declaration uses the RRB wording ("I will submit").
• 10th certificate PDF is under 500KB and readable.
• Live photo capture works on your device and lighting is even.
• Name, date of birth and post are correct: name and post cannot be changed in the edit window.
• You have saved the confirmation page and payment receipt.
