What the dummy admit card is, and is not
The dummy admit card is a preview of your application details. The portal states it is not your final admit card and cannot be used to enter the exam hall. It is issued early so you can verify your details and fix errors before the deadline. At the time of writing, the portal shows the admit card as not yet released.
Correction is done online at stetregistration.cbrt.co.in, using the same user ID and password you got by SMS when you registered. The portal's instructions say corrections must be completed within the stated dates.
What you can and cannot change
The correction screen says only the details it lists can be corrected, and all other sections of your application are final. Qualification details cannot be changed during the window.
- Category change: if you move to a category with a higher fee, for example from SC or ST to General, EWS, BC or EBC, you pay only the balance. The portal lists the single-paper fee as Rs 960 for General, EWS, BC and EBC and Rs 760 for SC and ST. The correction takes effect only after the balance is paid; if it is not paid, your original details stay. A Divyang candidate's fee follows the Divyang concession and does not change with category.
- Supporting documents: a changed category needs a caste certificate for the new category, and a change to a detail that identifies you at the centre is checked against your 10th class certificate, which you upload. Each is a PDF of 100KB to 2MB.
- Re-uploads: you may replace a document with a clearer or corrected copy. A replacement takes effect at once and the earlier file cannot be restored, so check the file first.
- Final Submit: the dummy card page has a Final Submit button. Once you use it, your details cannot be changed again, even if the window is still open.
- After the original admit card: the portal says details can no longer be corrected once admit cards are issued.

Step by step: check and correct your dummy card
- Go to stetregistration.cbrt.co.in and log in with the user ID and password sent to your registered mobile.
- Open the Dummy Admit Card page and download it.
- Compare name, parents' names, date of birth, category, paper, subject and the printed photo and signature with your certificates.
- If a document on record is blurred or wrong, prepare a corrected file to the sizes in the table above, then replace it on the correction screen. Replacements cannot be undone.
- If you change category, pay the fee difference and keep the receipt.
- Save the corrected details and download the dummy card again to confirm the change.
- Click Final Submit only when every detail is right, because nothing can be changed after it.
Do not leave this for 30 September. The window closes at 11:59 pm, and the portal may be slow near the end. A correction that is not saved or paid does not count.
What to carry when the admit card comes
The portal's admit card instructions ask you to print the e-admit card in colour and bring an original government photo ID: Aadhaar, voter ID, driving licence, passport, PAN card, a bank passbook with photo, or a ration card with photo. Photocopies and scans are not accepted. You must paste a photograph identical in size to the one you gave in the application. The test is computer based, 150 marks, 150 minutes.
