How do I count pages across many PDFs at once?
To count pages in bulk, drop as many PDFs as you like into FixDoks's PDF Page Counter, which builds a table of file name, page count, page size and file size for each one, plus a running total. Enter a price per page for a print cost estimate, then click Download CSV. Everything is processed inside your browser.

How to use PDF Page Counter
- Drop as many PDFs as you like onto the box at once.
- FixDoks builds a table with file name, page count, page size and file size for each one, plus a running total.
- Optionally enter a price per page to estimate the total print cost, including double-sided sheet counts.
- Click Copy table or Download CSV to save the results.
Why count PDF pages in bulk?
Counting pages one file at a time in a PDF viewer is fine for a single document but slow when you are dealing with a folder full of them, for example scanned assignments from a class, a stack of invoices, or chapters of a book before sending them to a printer. FixDoks processes every file you drop in a single pass and builds one table covering all of them, so you get every page count at once instead of opening each file in turn.
What the table shows
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| File name | The original name of each PDF you dropped in. |
| Pages | The exact page count of that file. |
| Page size | A4, Letter, mixed (if pages differ in size within one file), or "other" for a non-standard size. |
| File size | The size of the PDF file itself, in KB or MB. |
A total row adds up the page count across every file, which is the number you need most often, for example when a print shop charges by total page or when a submission portal has an overall page limit across multiple attachments.
Estimating print cost
Enter a price per page and FixDoks multiplies it by the total page count for a quick cost estimate. It also works out the number of physical sheets needed if you print double-sided, since two PDF pages fit on one sheet of paper printed on both sides, which is the number that actually matters for buying paper or comparing a print shop's per-sheet pricing.
Password-protected files
If one of the files you drop in needs a password to open, FixDoks flags it clearly in the table rather than silently skipping it or breaking the whole batch, since a read-only page count can be produced once the password is supplied; enter it when prompted for that file.
Saving the results
Copy table puts the table onto your clipboard as text, ready to paste into an email or a spreadsheet you already have open. Download CSV saves it as a proper CSV file that opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets or any spreadsheet program, keeping each column separate, which is more reliable than copy-pasting when you have many files.
Typical uses
- Confirming the total page count of a bundle of documents before uploading to a portal with a page limit.
- Getting a printing quote for a batch of files without opening each one.
- Spotting a file that is unexpectedly long, short, or an unusual page size before sending a batch onward.
- Checking mixed page sizes within a scanned document that should be uniform, which can indicate a scanning mistake.
Tips
If your print shop quotes per sheet rather than per page, use the double-sided sheet count rather than the raw page total, since it will usually be roughly half for double-sided printing. Sort or scan the CSV afterwards if you need to spot the largest files in a big batch.
